directional deficiency.

my how difficult getting driving directions can be. in most cases, i can get around the expressways easily. This time around, i had Jas in the car so i had him be navigator. As much of a car guy Jas is/was (whatever) I sometimes forget how much actual experience he's had with driving- somewhere around > two years.
So the story goes that google maps had failed us in getting us to our cousin's wedding. in a scramble to get correct directions, Jas called Jeff, and somewhere in their verbal exchange, i was told to turn around and go in the opposite direction. After another phone call to Francis, we got further directions saying that we were going in the right direction. at this point about 20 minutes were just lost. Now, on the way back home, Jas thought we were tailing my mom's fiance and i was directed to follow this vehicle by my (inept) navigator. after trying to explain the situation going down the wrong expressway, there wasnt anything else to be done other than find a way back. like i said before, me and expressways are pretty good. total time lost on this trip- 10 minutes.
lesson learned? jason doesnt get to give me directions anymore.
oh yeah, thanksgiving was weird.
